My name is***** you for using Just Answer. I am happy to help you with your concern.

Your symptoms could indicate an issue with your gallbladder or a bile duct obstruction. You may experience other issues with this including diarrhea, constipation, pain in the right upper abdomen that can radiate to your back and between your shoulder blades, gas, bloating and indigestion. Another thing that can cause lighter colored stool is taking too much Peptobismol or products like this. Or it can just be from what you are eating.

All colors of brown are considered normal and can your BM can change as you age, so this just may be your new normal.

If you are worried, then talk to your doctor and they can run some simple tests to rule anything serious out.

If you have any further questions please let me know. Have a good day.

Don't need additional information-just not satisfied with answer from nurse or MD. Was RN for 25+ years before becoming disabled & feel I have better answers than I was given. Don't have my gall bladdder-eating habits have not changed-etc.
