Using bonus... The shingles in my RIGHT inner ear caused me

Resolved Question:

Using bonus...
The shingles in my RIGHT inner ear caused me to be 100% deaf in the ear. Under ENT care for that still.
All that I have described is on my LEFT side of the body and more in patches of rash, not rings as you described.
I am now asking...can a person get shingles on opposite sides of the body, as I have always heard they could not?
Cannot sleep much due to discomfort. I WILL see my doctor later today if possible.
Thank you

Shingles usually affect only a small section of one side of your body. It can occasionally affect both sides of the body. In some instances it may affect multiple dermatomes & both sides. It is also known as zoster multiplex.
