Iron tablets may be helpful along with vitamin C to get your hemoglobin higher over next 3-4 months.
Also eat green leafy vegetables they are rich in iron.
what are the side effects of it being so low,it takes that long to get back to normal levels.
the symptoms are tiredness, shortness of breath, palpitations, chest pain, dizziness etc.
With improving hemoglobin levels your symptoms should improve.
You should also get tested for vitamin B12 and folate deficiencies.
IThese deficiencies also can cause low hemoglobin.
