I just had a microdermabrasion today and my skin has now

Customer Question

Hi, I just had a microdermabrasion today and my skin has now become red, inflamed and streaky. I have had them before yet this has never happened :( Should I be worried? Will it go down? Do I need to go to the hospital? Is there anything I can do to make it better? Thanks :)

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

This is an inflammatory reaction to that procedure. You can take OTC Tab Claritin once daily and can apply OTC 1 % hydrocortisone cream locally over that area and hopefully you will get better.

If symptoms persist or worsen then visit your doctor again but hopefully it will get better.

I hope this helps you.

Ask for any query.

Yes i think because this is just an inflammatory reaction and hopefully there will be no scarring.

I can't get to the chemist now is there anything I may have at home that would be good to treat it with? How long should it take to go down? Cheers :)

Thanks for your input.

If you have any anti allergic tablet at home like we use for flu and cold, take it, this will help till you go to chemist.
