As you have gone offline, I am giving my view.

Radiotherapy is a mode of therapy or treatment. It uses rays like X rays to treat. These rays kills the tumor cells. Radiotherapy cause damage to rapidly growing or multiplying cells by acting on DNA. Radiation acts on activated DNA of rapidly growing cells. As the cancer cells are rapidly growing they are affected. Normal healthy cells of the body are less affected as the DNA are not in multiplication state. Healthy cells can have the ability to repair themselves. Thus radiotherapy is used to destroy the rapidly growing cells.
