It is diagnosed specifically on endoscopy and biopsies of the intestine,

To check for response to treatment sometimes a urease breath test may be done too,

Sometimes as a screening measure, your doctor may order a blood and stool test too.
A negative blood antibody or stool antigen test may mean that you are not infected. However, if your symptoms persist, you doctor may order the more invasive tissue biopsy to more conclusively rule out infection.
