My name is***** you for using Just Answer.

Yes he should be fine. He was not unconscious long enough to cause any long term damage.

If he develops any symptoms of dizziness, fainting, severe headache or nausea/vomiting then he should seek medical care. If not he is fine.

Hope this has eased your concern. Have a good day.

how long would one have to be unconscience to have long term damage?
Expert:  Nurse Mandy replied 6 years ago.
3-5 minutes without breathing will deprive the brain of oxygen and damage can start to begin. Since your friend was only out for 10-15 sec he should be just fine.
