In any situation when there is stress on body as in case of a heart attack, will lead to release of hormones called cortisol and adrenaline. These hormones then increase blood sugar levels, although temporarily. Soon the stress is over, these hormones secretions decreases to their normal levels and blood sugar return to normal.
