Hello and welcome back to JustAnswer Health.

Any exercising that you are able to do to keep circulation going to the area is important - circulation is what brings nutrients and healing to the tissue and scar.

If the scar is intact (no long scabbing or raw) you can use vitamin E oil. Some plastic surgeons prescribe this to use over the scars on facial surgery to assist with healing.

As far as how long it takes to fade - that is variable and depends on your skin type and nutritional status. It will continue to fade gradually though, no matter what, although will never be completely gone.
