I am not asking for myself but for my daughter. About 3

Resolved Question:

Hi, I am not asking for myself but for my daughter. About 3 months ago she was complaining of dizzy spells, vertigo and headache. At first the doctor thought she was having occular migraines. She is 32 years old by the way. Then he sent her for an MRI which came out fine except he said it looked like she had chronic sinus problems. He then put her on an antibiotic for 2 weeks and she felt fine after that. Then today she told me she is having a recurrance of the headaches and dizzy spells. She doesn't think it is the same prob but I do and I think she needs to call the doctor again and maybe go back on the anitbiotics again. Maybe it was an infection that didn't quite go away completely. I also think she should maybe see an Ear nose and throat specialist as she has complained about a little ear pain. Thanks for reading this and responding. Kasey

Thanks for your question.

I am an ENT specialist & can help you.

Does she have one or more of the following symptoms.

Nasal obstruction

Nasal discharge

Fluid trickling in throat

Ear ringing(one or both ears, mention please)

Does she feel just unsteady or feel like room is spinning?

Thanks for your input.

Yes one problem she is having is otitis media , it probably has affected inner ear which is causing dizziness. Sinus problem can be the main source of this infection.

You can get her started with following OTC drugs

Xylometazoline nasal spray 2 puffs three times a day.

Tab Fexofenadine one tablet daily

Steam inhalation with menthol

Tab Ibuprofen three times a day

Tab Stemetil three times a day

You definitely need evaluation by ENT doctor and antibiotics but these drugs will give her relief from pain & vertigo.

Regards ***** ***** of prayers for her
