Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer Health.

May I clarify please, you report you are recently hypertensive with chest pain ongoing. Is your GP treating you for this? Has it resolved or do your remain hypertensive with chest pain?

Hypertension being treated with 240 verapmil (isoptin sr). Recent chest pain episode has calmed down. I am use to ongoing bouts of chest pain/palpitations with the angina. But the recent pain was more centrally located in my chest. (Although not as severe as some of the previous episodes!) recent echo should no further changes to aorta or bicupsid valve. Thanks,

Okay, I am glad to hear that it is at least somewhat under control. It would seem to me, that with your somewhat complicated cardiac history a cardiologist would the ideal choice of physician for you to maintain contact with. But, I just realized you are from Ireland, and I am not quite sure of how the medical system works there. I think I will opt out of your question, and see if there is a cardiologist or a physician from the UK online that could provide you with a more educated opinion than mine.

So, I am opting out of your question - what that means is your question will now show up as available again. I will also notify one of the physicians about your question.

it has, but I think I will have to opt out again since you requested me. I have advised someone who is looking at your question.

Thank you to the Physician who answered my question today. The answer was far more informative than what I got from the Physicians I saw in person for my problem.

JulieLockesburg, AR

You have been more help than you know. I seriously don't know what my sisters situation would be today if you had not gone above and beyond just answering my questions.

John and StefanieTucson, AZ

I have been dealing with an extremely serious health crisis for over three years, and one your physicians asked me more questions, gave me more answers and encouragement than a dozen different doctors who have been treating me!!
