Resolved Question:

I stopped breastfeeding my son in Oct last year and got my IUD out in January. I had my first period since I had him, in March 08, shortly after getting my IUD out. I've had heavy, very heavy, so heavy I am going through super tampons and pads, since then, I had 3 of these and then went two months without it. I started my period this Saturday, and it was brought on with a lot of side pain, up in my ribs, and left side, and also vomiting and diaherra, Is this normal? Should I go see my doctor? i can barely get around beause the nausea is so bad.

These symptoms are not normal. Irregular and heavy periods along with abdominal pain may indicate an underlying pathology like hormonal balance inflamed cyst, polyp, infection etc. You should definitely see a doctor soon. You will need a complete physical examination, blood tests, and possibly an ultrasound test. So please see a doctor soon.
