while lifting something heavy today i pulled something and am having sharp pain in my groin and lower back. should i see a doctor, or will the pain go away on it's own?

Sorry for the sufferings.

I need to know some points regarding your query so that I can answer better.

Did the pain start when you were lifting ?

In which side?

What is the exact area?

How is urine?

Any tender area?

Thank you

Yes, the pain began this morning when I was moving a washing machine with someone else, while we were going up stairs. The pain is on the left side in my scrotum and lower back both on the left side. My urine has been fine. My scrotum and back are very tender. Thank you for your assistance.
Thank you for the information,

Muscle pull can cause pain which will need rest to the part, application of ice in the early stage.

Ice can be applied after wrapping it in towel for 10 -15 min leaving in between to have the skin temperature return to normal.

Analgesics as you are taking will help too.

It should gradually improve in 1-2 weeks.

If the pain is severe , & you do not get relief from those an examination by doctor can be taken.

The other possibility of pain in this distribution is urinary colic usually from stone.

I hope this information helps.

Happy to assist, if you need any clarification.

Please feel free for any follow up query.

Best wishes.
