Hello,

Can you tell me when you husbands last good bowel movement was?

Is the pain on the left side above or below his belly button?

Does he has a fever?

Is the pain shooting any where else?

Thanks so much.

Common causes of lower left abdominal pain include:

diverticulitis, irritable bowel syndrome, left kidney stone, left kidney infection, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, aortic aneurysm and others.

Abdominal pain usually requires prompt attention especially if severe. I would recommend that your husband goes to the ER to be evaluated and treated this eve.

It could feel like constipation but actually be on of the afore mentioned diagnosis.

Take care and let me know if you have more questions.

Best Wishes,

Macy
