Since when do you have this symptom ?

Where exactly does it hurt ?

Any burning while passing urine ?

Customer: replied 7 years ago.
I have had these symptoms for about 8 mo.s. It hurts slightly under my left shoulder blade. It seems to be getting worse and I seem to have developed a painful sensation. Currently, no burning while passing urine.

This is likely to be a muscle spasm that is causing the back pain.

Gentle back stretches and continuing the pain medicine would help.

If this still persists, you need to consider a possibility of a Lumbar Spondylosis, that is an Arthritis of the back and would need X rays to look for this.

Try sleeping on a firm mattress that supports your back, that should help with this pain.

Could a muscle spasm continue for 8 months?
Expert:  Dr.Saurabh Joshi replied 7 years ago.

If you have a bad posture or a cause that is constantly aggravating your back, then this can remain for a long time.

Other than that, you should go ahead and get this investigated by having an X ray of the Lumbo-Sacral spine to look for a vertebral involvement or a possible Kidney / Ureteric stone that is causing this pain.
