Thanks for the additional details. Besides an overheated room or too many blankets, some of the common causes of drenching sweats in males at night are:

(a) Infections – HIV/ AIDS, tuberculosis, endocarditis, mononucleosis, brucellosis, osteomyelitis, etc

(b) Medications: antidepressants, insulin, antipyretics, morphine, withdrawal from narcotics, caffeine, etc.

(c) Endocrinal issues- overactive thyroid, pheochromocytoma, carciinoid syndrome, acromegaly

(d) Cancers/ leukemia/lymphoma/ etc

(e) Anxiety, etc.

As such, your problem has been presenting for only one week, with no significant history and all the additional information given is in negative. Hence there is probably no urgency out here and we can wait for a few more days. But if your problem persists for a few more days, maybe it would be best to check in with your doctor for a detailed work up.

I hope that this helps. Best wishes. Please feel free to enquire if you have any remaining concerns/ doubts, as it shall be a privilege and a pleasure to try and help as much as I can.
