Dear brobert,

Thank you for the information,

There are some common causes of blood in urine. The common ones are urinary tract infection, kidney stones, cystitis, prostate cancer, bladder cancer, nephritis, exercsie, drugs etc.

As per the symptoms described by you associated with fever it seems that you are having urinary tract infection which is causing such symptoms of haematuria and fever. The antibiotics like ciprofloxacin, metronidazole, etc. are commonly prescribed for such infection for 5-7 days duration.

The other common possibility is kidney stones which may also cause similar symptoms and should be ruled out.The prostate cancer may also cause such blood in urine though the chances are less.

You should have the relevant investigations done like urine r/e, urine c/s, blood counts, sonography KUb region after consulting your doctor to knpow the associated abnormality.

The treatment depends on the underlying cause.
