Customer Question

My doctor thinks I have Lupus based on his exam and my symptoms and ordered some tests. The only results out of range were: Immunoglobulin G subclass 2 level was 139 L (with reference range 241-700), and my Immunoglobulin G subclass 3 level was 19 L (ref. range 22-178). Do these results support his original diagnosis of Lupus?

Also, I've had two CBC tests this month, and though I've stayed within normal range, my white blood count has increased from 5.9 thousand to 9.6 thousand in eleven days, and my platelet count from 214 to 325. My symptoms have defintely worsened in this time. Does this sound like SLE or Rheumatoid Arthritis? The levels for absolute basophils, eosinophils, neutrophils, lymphocytes, and monocytes has doubled in last eleven days.

the labs result dont point to lupus. lupus would require positive ANA, anti-dsDNA antibodies. rheumatoid arthritis require rheumatoid factor and anti-ccp.for low immunoglobulins level see the link below
