Hello,

Welcome to Just Answer and thanks for your question. What was the value and what is the reference range at your lab? Were any other results abnormal? Why was the test done?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.

I am not sure what the value is. It says 6-10 abnormal /hpf reference 0-5

I ALSO GOT ABNORMAL ON THE WBC ESTERASE WITH A 1+ INTERVAL SAYS

NEGATIVE.

Are you sure these are blood test results?

A value of 6-10/hpf means 6-10 per high powered field and it is the result from microscopic examination of a blood smear or a urine test. Leukocyte esterase is also a urine test to look for signs of infection.

i AM SORRY, THE WBC ESTERASE IS URINALYSIS AND IT APPEARS THE WBC IS AS WELL.

Yes, I thought so. They indicate you may have had a mild urinary tract infection at the time, or you may have just had a sample that was contaminated. Sometimes it's difficult to get a "clean catch" urine that doesn't have some vaginal secretion or even germs from your hand in it. If there were no bacteria found in the sample, it probably does for sure mean just a contamination.
