How can an inoculated blood culture be held at room

Customer Question

Hello Diane-

An inoculated bottle should be kept at room temperature until brought to the microbiology lab for incubation. A routine blood culture bottle should be incubated as soon as possible, but if kept at room temp. for up to 24 hours should be OK.

An Isolator tube bottle should be incubated within 16 hours.

Good luck.
