No ear infections, the blood is in my saliver, not from my nose or ears, this has been happening for some months but not during the day, only when I am in bed at night.

Thanks for the additional information,

let me explain like this for you, most probably you bleeding is related to gums problem,

Trauma to the gums by hard brushing or tooth picking with sharp objects result in bleeding gums.

Deficiency of vitamin K and C may also result in gum bleeding.

i suggest you that you make a visit to your dentist and have a checkup.

meanwhile i suggest you to take vitamin C and K after consulting with you treating doctor. you are taking iron suppliment as you must be having iron deficiency anemia and this condition co-exists with vitamin c deficiency in most cases.Vit C deficiency is the leading cause of gum bleeding with patients often complaining of blood spots in pillow.

the condition is fully curable so dont worry.

i hope this will solve your problem.

wish you good health.
