I have a hairline crack in my radius bone in my right arm.

Resolved Question:

I have a hairline crack in my radius bone in my right arm. how long until I can pitch again. its been a 8 days sine I injred it.

I assume you had an orthopedic surgeon, or other doctor evaluate this, correct?

And is the fracture near your wrist? Or the elbow?

It is good you will have followup with your orthopedic surgeon, since it is their opinion that you will need eventually prior to returning to pitching.

That being said, after a fracture, generally full activites are begun 3-4 months after the initial injury to allow the bone to fully heal.

The ice will be helpful to reduce swelling, but at this far out after your injury, if you are not having swelling, there probably is no need for ice at this time (it won't speed up your healing).
