A DDS friend removed a Bot Fly Larve from my back but did not get the complete larve removed because it kept breaking. He estimated 75% is removed but remainder was quite deep into flesh. He cleaned & applied a local antiseptic. Will the remaining larvee just die & be absorbed or expelled on it's own OR should entry it be opened surgically and cleaned to remove all larve? I assume the larve will not regenerate itself?
