Customer Question

I have a painful small round spot on the sole of my foot. It feels hard inside and if I press it there is sharp pain. There is dry skin on the sole where the sore spot is. I don't think I have bruised it or cut it.

How large it is? Is it warm , raised, red? Exact location?

Customer: replied 8 years ago.

It is on the ball of my foot about 1 1/2 inches below my second smallest toe. It is about 1/2 cm in diameter not totally round but close to it. It is raised a little so you do feel there is something there when you run your fingures along that spot. If I pull the skin tight it almost looks like fluid inside or white. But it is not a surface blister - can you have a deep blister? It is not red or warm.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the input,

The description sounds like it is a callus of the foot. The presence of fluid however is not consistent with callus. Presence of fluid in it can be due to collection of pus in it The pain can be present in both the callus or any collection of pus. You need to see doctor to get it examined. If there is pus it may need drainage.

Hope this information will help you.
Wish your early recovery.
