Diabetic patient has presented with symptoms of memory problems and vomiting blood, usually after eating, in the past 2 months. Is being tested with an upper and lower GI series and a brain MRI. Anything else we can do?

blood in vomit is bright red, not dark or tarry, like coffee grounds. not sure on his stool consistency. I will relay the info you have given. any more is greatly appreciated. i'm sure you hear this a lot, but we are worried for our friend.
I can understand the situation... Bright red vomit could be from varices.. from liver disease or after excessive vomiting called mallory wise tear. coffee ground is seen usually in stomach ulcers.. unless very active bleed. also important to get tested for syphilis in work up for memory problems.
