How long you are having this problem?

Do you have any disease or other symptoms?

I have only just noticed the tongue late last night when I woke up. I have been having reflux which seems to start in my back then burns up my throat quite a lot at night lately. I can feel it start which wakes me up. I generally get up and take a mylanta tablet and have a cup of warm milk. I also have had a sore tongue on and off for which I went to my doctor. She couldn't find anything wrong and also have some soreness in right ear and a slight ache sometimes in my right jaw.

Thank you for the information.

Blue tongue can occur in taking colored foods like sweets , candies etc.

However there are some conditions which are more serious & can cause blue tongue.

These can be due to the presence of increased amount of deoxygenated hemoglobin in blood due to diseases of heart, lung diseases like chronic bronchitis or emphysema, embolism of lung etc.

In addition high red cells count or polycythemia may also cause it.

As you are not any other symptoms it can be due to food items.

Still you should consult your doctor to rule out the other conditions.

I hope this information will help.

Please ask if you need any clarification.

Best wishes.
