I am having severe swelling in my feet and some in my hands.

I am having severe swelling in my feet and some in my hands. It feels like I''m retaining fluid. My feet are very swolling. I am about 100 pounds overweight, but I''ve never had high blood pressure or any diabetes. I need to know what''s going on. I''m starting to be alarmed. I need some help. Thank you.

The swelling of the feet and hand is known as oedema in medical term.

Though you do not have any diabetes, high blood pressure, there are other causes of swelling of the feet and hands.

There may be kidney, liver disease, low protein in the blood, venous congestion, anemia etc in the causation of oedema.

You have to consult doctor to examine and investigate to find out the cause.
