I have a lump on my right between the bottom of the nail and the first''s centered about 1/4 inch from the center of the top joint. No pain on its own and not too much when I push on it. It''s hard..bone like. What is it?

It is very likely a ganglion cyst. It is a cyst that appears near joints or on tendons, often in the hands and feet.
