Resolved Question:

My kids finger nails are coming off at the cuticals and another nail is growing in under the top nail. It''s all the nails on her hands and now her big toes are doing the same thing. I have never heard of this happening before, is there anything I should be worried about?

Hi, this is likely to be fungal infection of the nails that is causing the cuticles to come off and new ones to grow. The two most common types of nail fungus in children are dermatophyes which affects the toe nails and yeasts which affects the finger nails.

You can see the details of such infection here.

For treating this condition, you will have to consult a paediatrician.
