Loss of feeling is called numness.Sudden numbness can be due to a lack of muscle strength in any group of muscles, nerve compression syndromes, circulatory disorders(poor blood circulation),high blood pressure, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, stroke, transient ischemic attack.Other causes are:abnormal levels of calcium, potassium, or sodium in your body, lack of vitamin B12,

General rule of thumb is that If you have a sudden numbness or weakness in any part of your body, and there isn't a logical explanation for it, you should seek medical care immediately.

So I advice you to evaluate at ER.

Hope this helped.
