I have a rattling sound and feel in my lungs when I breathe deep. I am coughing but not coughing anything up. I had sinusitias about two weeks ago. Is this broncitius and what should I take to clear my chest?

Greetings Mr Morrow,

There are some effective medications to thin mucus and help clear it out of the airway including: Mucinex (guaifenesin) and Tessalon Perles (Benzoate). These are better than cough suppressants which actually can make things worse by keeping secretions from coming out.
If you feel short of breath, have fever/chills, chest pain or if you are wheezing, please consult a physician immediately to rule out pneumonia and other complications.
