Reply to Family Physician's Post: I have lupus,I usually just go in for an adjustment.

It feels like a real bad creek, but has lasted for 6 days, seems to be getting worse.

contrary to the claims of chiropractors there are a number of potential serious, even deadly complications of manipulations of the neck

I would suggest seeing a medical doctor (physician) since you are having MORE pain after this manipulation.

What do you think it may be? Sprain, pulled muscle or worse

Without examining you, it is nearly impossible to give a diagnosis. I would hope that his is not something serious, but the fact that this developed AFTER a manipulation would be of concern.

This could be a herniated disc, pinched nerve or a muscle spasm.
