I am 52 yrs old female, I went to the doctor for annual exam and was told my kidney enzymes where high. Can you explain this to me or tell me what causes it?
Hi, there is a blood test that measures kidney function. If these levels are elevated it can mean many different things. It can mean you are dehydrated. This can also mean that your kidneys are over worked. Some medications can cause this to happen to your kidneys. The best thing to do is drink extra water to help flush your kidneys. You will want to get this rechecked at some point to make sure your kidneys are responding and not getting worse.
