Symptoms of Endstage Renal Disease are unintentional weight loss, nausea or vomiting, general ill feeling, fatigue, headache, frequent hiccups, generalized itching, greatly decreased urine output, no urine output, easy bruising or bleeding, may have blood in the vomit or stools, decreased alertness, drowsiness, somnolence, lethargy, confusion, delirium, coma, and muscle twitching or cramps, seizures, increased skin pigmentation, skin may appear yellow or brown, nail abnormalities, and you may have decreased sensation in your hands, feet, or other areas.

You can tell if your kidneys have shut down if your urine volume decreases or if your urine production stops totally with the above symptoms present. Also, your creatinine and BUN levels will be chronically high and your creatinine clearance will be very low.
