I have a shooting pain just above my left groin area. This

I have a shooting pain just above my left groin area. This happens when I make certain movements from side to side on occassion (like dancing) What is it? Is it an organ or muscle? And what can I do to heal it other than rest?

From your information i am thinking that you are a healty person other than having this shoothing occasional pain. First i would rule it out if it is a Hernia located in the above left groin area.If it is not a hernia i would like to rule out left Ovarian cyst.If it is not that i would try to rule out other small possibilities like Adhesions,Salpingitis,Diverticulitis etc.An Ultrasound of the abdomen and physical exam can be helpful to make the diagnosis.For more information click the link below:
