You should see a green or snotty looking yellow discharge around this time.  This means that you are losing your mucus plug.  This does not mean that you are going into labor or that labor is soon.  It can still be weeks before labor begins.

So, yes, a snotty, mucousy discharge is normal.  If there is a smell, blood or it doesn't seem "right," you need to see your doctor.
