how do i eliminate nose from me GPS map 840xs to my vhf radio
JA: Just to clarify, what's the brand and model of the GPS?
Customer: Garmin gpsmapxs
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: i have had this problem from my install of unit
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Hooking radio direct to the + post and also to the - post
JA: Anything else you want the GPS expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: i also have radar unit. I think thats were im getting the nose.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you are having, I will do my best to help you resolve it.

It sounds like you need some ground loop isolators to filter out the signal interference..

Place one of those or similar on the positive power lead going into the VHF, and that will eliminate any signal contamination from the garmin.
