Customer Question

I have a garmin gns 530 waas in my 12 volt aircraft. I'm interested in buying a docking station that was used for a 24 volt installation. Will this docking station work okay with my 12 volt unit? It is a Commander 2000 unit.
JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: It was put in in 2001. The label on the back says pn011-01064=40, I believe the serial number is *****
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I don't understand?
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I don't have a problem. I just want to know if I can use a used docking station with my unit?
JA: Anything else you want the GPS expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no
