I have a garmin express model nuvi 2595 and when I try to update it the system does not recognize it. whats wrong
JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: the model is a NUVI 2595 approx. 6 years old
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: don't understand
JA: What confuses you?

1) What was the STATUS of your device BEFORE connecting to the computer? That is, does it still operate well, is the battery holding a charge, etc.?

2) Has this device EVER been connected to this computer SUCCESSFULLY - before this time?

3) Is the ORIGINAL USB cable being used to connect the device?
