JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: 2007
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: it was hook to mycomputer
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I think my son wid out my data

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your device.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) The FULL Model Number of the device you are working with? If you're not sure, please look for the Serial Number on the device as I may be able to find the model from that number.

2) You mentioned "I think my son wid out my data" ... Does that mean that the device was connected to the computer at the time, and someone may have accessed the device via the computer and "damaged/deleted" some files?

OK - if your device has a "flap" that opens, please open that flap and look for a label or sticker - that will contain the model number and perhaps the serial number.

Also, if there is any "mount" attached to the device, remove that mount and look for the label there.
