I have a Magellan 2202-LM and when I plug it in my car nothing happens just a black screen worked fine not to long ago
JA: What's the make/model of your GPS unit? How old is it?
Customer: Magellan RoadMate 2202-LM 2 years old
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I went on a trip to Huntsville worked fine left it in my car overnight not pluged in the next morning there was a blank screen
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: reseting it turning off and on and plugging it in my lab top
JA: Anything else you want the gps expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Does it power on when connected to your laptop?

No it does not

If the GPS unit is not powering on at all then it likely has hardware failure.

One last thing we can try before we go the hardware failure route is:

Plug in the GPS and while it is plugged in, hold down the power button for 20 seconds and see if the GPS unit powers on. Does it power on now?

No I will bring it back to Canadian tire

It is outside of the 1 year warranty that comes with Magellan but hopefully Canadian Tire will offer a discount or return for you.
