I cannot get my Garmin 910xt to show heart rate, forerunner

Customer Question

I cannot get my Garmin 910xt to show heart rate
JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: forerunner 910xt
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: It is new and I am just trying to get it to read my heart rate
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: The other settings and asking it to search. I have replaced the battery in the heart monitor and tested it and the battery is good.
JA: Anything else you want the gps expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your device.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) Was the heart rate monitor IN USE (being worn) at the time you tried to pair the monitor to the device? If not, that is a KEY FACTOR in pairing the monitor.

I also have a link to a "troubleshooting" article for this type of issue. Please click the link below to see that article.

I hope this helps. Please let me know what you find or if you have any more questions.

Thanks, ***** *****
