I bought a vivoactive hr device, then tried out a fenix 3

I bought a vivoactive hr device, then tried out a fenix 3 and now back to the vivoactive hr (the fenix 3 was too bulky for golf and swimming - my main exercises)
JA: What's the make/model of your GPS unit? How old is it?
Customer: Got it today at Best Buy. Vovactive HR. I have an account with email an password ***** my iPhone, but want to start over with the new device and eliminate the old data.
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I reloaded the app and signed in and synced the then device, but can't seem to find out how to start over with new data.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: not sure what to try
JA: Anything else you want the GPS expert to know before I connect you?

How do I start fresh with a new Garmin connect account with my new device and still use my existing email address?

Hi there and welcome

to do this, first download and install Garmin Express if you do not have it already installed.

You can get it from my link below

Open it and sign in with your account and then click on Tools.

Then Remove Device and remove it

Then uninstall the connect app on your smartphone

Then install it again

Sign in on the connect app and you should not see the device

Then all data is cleared
