Customer Question

My husbands Garmin Approach S1 quite picking up the satellites and he asked me to call in and get it reset. He doesn't keep any data on it as far as distances, etc. so should I be doing the master reset? I read two different instructions and one says to press and hold the Down button and the other says to press and hold the upper left corner of the display?
JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: Garmin Approach S1 and it is a couple years old. Would the serial number be helpful on the back?
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I don't know what you mean. My husband just said it wouldn't work anymore...
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have not tried anything but when he called in they told him to hook it to the computer and call in I guess.
JA: Anything else you want the GPS expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: Not really

Sorry to hear of any issue you are having with your device.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) The AGE of the device?

2) WHEN this issue first began (or was noticed)?

3) Have any "battery issues" been noticed with the unit, such as running out of power in a short time?
