Customer Question

I dropped my Garmin nuvi and it popped open in one corner. I just pushed it back together, and now it says "No detailed maps found that support routing. The nuvi cannot be used without them".
What happened and how do I get my maps back? I have a micro SD adapter plugged into the side. The machine is quite old but I love having it and am missing being able to use it. I s there a fix?

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Try turning Off the Garmin device.

Take out the microSD adapter.

Wait a few minutes.

Put the microSD adapter back in, firmly.

Turn On the Garmin device again.

Does it now find itself able to read the maps (that I presume are on the microSD card that is read through that microSD adapter) ?
