I purchased a lifetime update in the past and would like to update my GPS at this time. I tired using it at home before we left on our trip bit I was not successful. I would like to try again for my trip home late this week. Can you lead me in the right direction. I have a NUVI 225W S/N 1C5157887

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your device.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) Can you CONFIRM the FULL Model Number of the device you are working with? I only ask because when I look up that Serial Number, I see it decodes to a Nuvi 255W (vs. 225W).

2) The AGE of the device?

3) When you say "had a few problems with the GPS continuous tracking" - what exactly does that mean?

4) When you say the update "was not successful" - what does that mean? Is that because you were only able to load a specific REGION on the device, or was there some other type of error that occurred?
