Dc50 collar shut off. Battery went dead now won't charge? JA:

Customer Question

Dc50 collar shut off. Battery went dead now won't charge?
JA: Sometimes things that you think will be really complicated end up being easy to fix. The GPS Technician I'm going to connect you with knows all the tricks and shortcuts. Tell me a bit more about what's going on so he can help you best.
Customer: Had it on dog last night. Collar shut off won't turn back on. Put it on charger. Light doesn't come on for charge and still won't turn on. Been on charger over night
JA: Is there anything else the GPS Technician should be aware of?
Customer: Not that I know of. Collar is only about a year and a half old.
JA: OK. Got it. I'm sending you to a secure page on JustAnswer so you can place the $5 fully-refundable deposit now. While you're filling out that form, I'll tell the GPS Technician about your situation and then connect you two.

Welcome to, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you. The batteries in those collars are prone to failure given X amount of time and charges, the situation you describe makes it clear that the battery needs to be replaced. You can get an off brand battery here or a genuine garmin battery here for a bit more Heres how to replace the battery ( this is for the dc 40 but the steps should match up ) If you have further questions, let me know. I strive to provide great service, and greatly appreciate a rating of excellent ( 5 stars ) selected and submitted below this answer or at the top right of the screen. I always answer follow up questions.Dustin S.Senior Technician and Network Switching Systems Operator / Maintainer.
