Greg, I have a 660 that has worked flawlessly since new. I have a lifetime updater and while I was updating the maps, it froze with "loading maps" and the green bar is stopped at the "A" on Garmin. It's been frozen for three hours and nothing has happened.

I am happy to pay the $25 for an answer, but after I've had my question answered, do I have to keep paying for this service as I probably will toss the GPS if it doesn't fix the problem and get a new one.

1) The FULL Model Number of the device you are working with? I only ask because there are a few "660" models of Garmin devices.

2) The AGE of the device?

3) Have you EVER added memory to your device?
