Sorry to hear of the issue you are having with your device.
To help you with this issue, may I ask:1) The FULL Make & Model Number of the device you are working with?2) The AGE of the device?3) What tool (program) was used to update the maps?
4) Was the device TESTED immediately after the update, and if so, did it work then?

Can you tell me WHEN (on what screen) you see the "no maps available" message?
Can you also check the Map Info screen, to see if the map update was successfully installed?
If you are not sure how to check the Map Info screen, I have a link to a short video that shows how to do that.
Please take a look and let me know EXACTLY what you see on that screen.

I didn't see a response from my last post, but wanted to send the following before I take an afternoon break.
What I suspect may have happened is that either the maps did NOT get "completely" loaded onto the device (if the Map Info page is blank or you can not select it) - OR - perhaps the entire map did not get loaded, but you got only a "region" in the device.
In either case, you should be able to use the "reinstall maps" option in the updated program - to install the maps again. BUT, this time make sure you allow a little extra time at the very end of the program before you physically remove the device from the USB cable.
I also HIGHLY RECOMMEND using the "safe remove" feature (on the computer) before you physically remove the device from the cable. "Safe remove" is where you "Eject" a removable media device, so that all data is written to the device before physical removal.
