I see it has been a few days and I just wanted to follow up to see if you have any more questions concerning this issue or if the issue was resolved.

For MOST devices, there is a website from the manufacturer where you can "register" you device. This usually requires an email address and MAY allow you to connect the device via a cable to had the registration.
